SANTA YNEZ VALLEY COMMUNITY INFORMATION
The beautiful Santa Ynez Valley lies between the Santa Ynez and San Rafael mountain ranges, just 35 miles north of Santa Barbara. Acclaimed for its incredible horse ranches and award winning vineyards, the Valley offers a rural, small town atmosphere, yet is accessible to modern shopping conveniences, commuter airports (Santa Ynez, Santa Barbara & Santa Maria) and U.S. 101.

The climate of the Valley is excellent, with ocean breezes keeping the summer temperatures mild, averaging in the high 70' to low 80's. Winter days average in the 60's and approximate rainfall is 16" annually.

The Santa Ynez Valley boasts an excellent public school system as well as numerous private schools.

THE VALLEY COMMUNITIES
Solvang - Unique Danish community filled with gift shops, restaurants, and bakeries and quaint hotels.Also home to the Alisal Guest Ranch, a resort on over 10,000 acres.

Santa Ynez - Founded in 1882, the historic town of Santa Ynez still features many of the original western buildings. Excellent restuarants, shopping, a bed & breakfast and the infamous Maverick Saloon are the main attractions here.

Los Olivos - A small victorian village known for fine art galleries, wine tasting and excellent restaurants. Follow the Foxen Canyon Wine Trail map to visit some of California's most beautiful wineries.

Ballard - Charming community nestled betweed Solvang and Los Olivos. The historic 2 room little red schoolhouse is still in use today.

Buellton - Home to the world famous Anderson's Pea Soup restaurant, Buellton has long been a favorite stop for those travelling along US Hwy. 101. Historically a farming and ranching community, now home to modern shopping convenience and new residental communities.
